DTB Bank shuts 6 branches in a merger consolidation

Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has announced that it is closing 6 of its branches in a post-merger exercise to consolidate its operations.

In a public notice, the bank said that the Central Bank of Kenya has approved an application by DTB Kenya to consolidate its branches in certain locations within the country.

“The DTB branch consolidation will affect locations where the branches identified for merger are co-located or in close proximity to each other,” it read in part.

The affected branches will cease operations with effect from close of business on dates indicated below;

9 West Branch Westgate Branch 30 June 2021
Kago Street Branch Eldoret Branch 30 June 2021

Eastleigh Branch Madina Mall Branch 30 October 2021

 

The Bank is encouraging its customers to use their alternative banking channels including digital and online banking platforms.

“The staff in the affected will be redeployed appropriately to support other branches or business units within our network,” the public notice read.
