Epson has announced the establishment of a new sales company dedicated to serving the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central & West Asia (META-CWA) region.
With headquarters located in Dubai, UAE, this strategic move is designed to enhance Epson’s market presence and deliver innovative technological solutions tailored to local needs.
Leading the new operations is Neil Colquhoun, President of Epson META-CWA, who emphasizes the potential within this rapidly growing region.
Having spent over ten years with Epson, Colquhoun will oversee a diverse workforce of over 320 employees, all focused on driving business growth and connecting with communities across META-CWA.
“Our mission at Epson goes beyond just expansion; it involves deeply understanding and meeting the technological needs of consumers and businesses in the region,” Colquhoun stated.
We are committed to fostering relationships that empower people while prioritizing sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Epson plans to leverage its extensive market network to introduce high-quality technology solutions across various sectors, including healthcare, education, hospitality, construction, retail, and tourism.
The company aims to deliver customized offerings in categories such as visual displays, printing, scanning, and manufacturing.
Recent reports indicate robust growth for Epson within the META-CWA region, with sales witnessing double-digit increases.
Notably, the company’s education solutions have experienced more than 100% growth between fiscal years 2022 and 2023, underscoring the demand for innovative educational technology.
A key goal for Epson is to achieve carbon negativity by 2050, alongside a commitment to discontinue using limited underground resources such as metals and oil.
The company is actively investing in processes and initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint and support consumers in their sustainability efforts through eco-friendly technologies.
“The extensive geographical footprint of META-CWA necessitates an environment conducive to professional growth and inclusivity, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of our workforce,” Colquhoun added.
Epson prioritises inclusion and diversity within its organisational framework with a leadership team comprising eleven nationalities and nearly half of its management positions held by women.
Furthermore, Epson META-CWA is set to launch an innovative Graduate Program to attract and nurture local talent, reaffirming its commitment to professional development and empowerment within the community.
This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone for Epson as it aims to revolutionize technology use across the META-CWA region while promoting sustainability and diversity in the workplace.
