PayRetailers has announced its expansion into eight new African markets. This move brings the company’s total coverage to 12 countries across the continent, providing a streamlined payment solution for online merchants seeking to tap into Africa’s growing e-commerce sector.
The payment processing firm offers a unified platform that simplifies cross-border transactions for businesses and grants them access to popular local payment methods such as MPESA, Airtel, and MTN.
The latest expansion includes key markets like Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, and Nigeria. This follows the company’s successful launch in Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda, and Tanzania three months prior.
This strategic expansion underscores PayRetailers’ commitment to unlocking new growth opportunities for its clients. The company empowers businesses to expand their reach and tap into new customer bases by offering seamless access to emerging markets.
Existing PayRetailers clients benefit from zero integration efforts, as the new markets are accessible through the same API.
Africa’s burgeoning e-commerce landscape presents significant opportunities for global businesses. With a large portion of the population underbanked, PayRetailers’ presence accelerates financial inclusion by supporting businesses in their growth journeys. The company’s focus on mobile and connected solutions aligns with the increasing adoption of mobile payments across the continent.
“Expanding into eight new markets marks a significant milestone for PayRetailers,” said Jonathan Vintner, Global Head of Sales at PayRetailers. “Africa is a vibrant continent with diverse payment preferences. For example, our launch in Kenya enables merchants to access M-Pesa, the country’s leading mobile money provider, while in South Africa, we’re offering a blend of card and cash solutions.”
Vintner emphasizes the seamless integration of these new payment options into PayRetailers’ existing platform. Merchants can now access top payment methods across Latin America and Africa through a single connection, simplifying their operations and facilitating expansion.
PayRetailers’ ambitious growth plans extend beyond Africa, with further expansion planned in other African countries and Europe.
