Cortex Logic to grow its AI business reach with new appointments

South Africa’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) software and solutions company Cortex Logic has announced a series of appointments as it seeks to grow its business and reach.

Cortex Logic Founder and CEO Dr Jacques Ludik said, “We are on an aggressive growth strategy as the World gears up for the deployment and operationalization of real-world Artificial Intelligence in the Enterprise, we needed to bring on Executives who could not only hit the ground running but who have a solid understanding of how to grow a business that is leveraging cutting edge, IR4.0 technologies”.

Con Bruce, Executive Director Cortex Logic stated, “We are really pleased to report that we appointed Chief Operating Officer Jacques De Kock who joins us from the Clicks Group where he served on the Executive Committee and was responsible for major supply chain warehouse, logistics and systems replacement projects. His prior experience at IBM, PWC and retailer Habitat have given him a wealth of client and supplier management experience which will be invaluable at Cortex Logic as we expand in Africa and beyond.

Dr Ludik concluded, “The expansion of our senior team coincides with the recent opening of our new company HQ at River Park, Mowbray, Cape Town. We are now on boarding a range of technical staff all of whom are leading data scientists, software developers and analysts specializing in the artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning space, the brightest minds available to solve our client’s needs. 2019 is shaping up to be a massive year for real-world AI deployments as businesses leaders begin to see the competitive value proposition and benefits of artificial intelligence in the Enterprise”.
