Kenyans can now confirm their political party membership status online through the office of the registrar political parties, ORPP.
The platform allows users to check if they are registered in a political party in Kenya of their choice.
How to check your Political Party Membership Status
- Visit ORPP portal which will redirect you to Ecitizen
- Under registrar of Political parties click check registration status
- Fill in your Ecitizen details i.e ID and password
- Once logged in, click on Political Party Membership Status
- Click on the Complete button below to view your membership status
How to Deregister from a political party
If you have been registered on a political party you did not sign up for, you can easily deregister from that political party.
To deregister from a political party, you need to write a resignation letter addressing the Political party you have been willingly or unwillingly been registered to.
Submit a copy of the letter attached with your National ID/Passport to the Registrar of Political parties to be removed from the list.
