The Nairobi City County introduced the Internal Revenue Management System (IRMS) to make it easy, fast and efficient to pay parking fees using mobile money options such as M-Pesa by use of a short code (USSD) or online with the use of a smartphone.

How to pay for Parking In Nairobi Via USSD

  • Dial *647#
  • Select Parking Services, choose Daily Parking and the Parking Zone.
  • Enter Vehicle License Plate. An M-Pesa payment request shall display on your phone. Enter your M-Pesa Pin and click OK
  • On successful payment, you will receive a payment notification via SMS from your mobile service provider and from NRB_Revenue.

How to pay for Parking In Nairobi Via Online

For you to access this service online, you must have a phone or a PC connected to the internet.

  • Visit the Nairobi County Portal or search for the Nairobi County e-payment parking. Create an account on the portal or log in if you already have one and select Parking services-Daily Parkin
  • Enter the Vehicle Number plate and the Parking Zone where the vehicle is located.
  • Enter your mobile number then An M-Pesa payment request shall display on your Enter your M-Pesa PIN and click OK

How to pay for Penalties

  • Follow the Daily On-Street Parking payment process above through either USSD Code or NRS Web Portal to pay any parking penalties.

It’s important to note that packing charges vary with the type of vehicle, the bigger the vehicle, the higher the charges and vice vasa. Also, you don’t need to pay any fee on Saturdays from 2 PM, Sunday and on public holidays.
