However, you can find yourself sending MPesa money to the wrong recipient. Here’s how you can reverse a wrong M-Pesa Transaction.

Once you notice you have sent money to the wrong Safaricom MPESA number. Here’s what to do;

1. Copy the M-Pesa transaction message you received from Safaricom.
2. Create a blank SMS and paste it there.
3. Send the message you have pasted to 456.
4. Safaricom will then reverse the transaction.

All these can be avoided by using Safaricom’s hakikisha service where users can dial *234*2# to activate it.
