Sending and receiving money via MPesa has eased the way we do business today, it has enabled transactions in our day-to-day activities right from individuals to businesses.
However, you can find yourself sending MPesa money to the wrong recipient. Here’s how you can reverse a wrong M-Pesa Transaction.
Once you notice you have sent money to the wrong Safaricom MPESA number. Here’s what to do;
- Copy the M-Pesa transaction message you received from Safaricom.
- Create a blank SMS and paste it there.
- Send the message you have pasted to 456.
- Safaricom will then reverse the transaction.
All these can be avoided by using Safaricom’s hakikisha service where users can dial *234*2# to activate it.
