OPPO Kenya has launched the OPPO A93, the latest addition to the A series portfolio which retails at Kshs 31,000, features cutting-edge AI portrait photography.
The ultra-sleek device comes packed into a premium design, along with functions that make life more efficient.

Air Gestures, pick up calls through the air.
It features a sophisticated technology which allows users to pick up calls without touching the phone through an air gesture as far as 20-50 centimetres from the phone — activated by lifting the hand upwards.
Premium design
The A93 comes in a 7.48mm Ultra-Sleek Body with a 164g ultra-lightweight body.
To ensure that users are fully immersed in their content, OPPO A93’s 6.43’’ dual punch-hole display comes with a brilliant FHD+ Super AMOLED Display with a large 90.7% screen-to-body ratio.
The display uses Mini Dual-Punch Holes that boast this price segment’s smallest camera diameter of only 3.7mm and ensures that that the phone screen’s real estate is maximized so that the user can optimally utilise the screen size while viewing files or playing their favourite video game.
The OPPO A93 comes in shiny matte texture in two colour variants – Magic Blue and Matte Black.
Cameras
For selfie fans, the front of the OPPO A93 has a Dual Camera that adds a bokeh effect to portrait selfies. The Dual Lens Bokeh has been upgraded to support both videos and multiple people in the shot.
AI Portrait Color enables the user to capture smart urban street style photos or travel photos from a new perspective by making the portraits pop with colour.
The AI Portrait Color feature also mutes the background colours to greyscale, while enhancing the natural colours of the person (or a group of people) within the photo using AI.
For those taking portraits in low light environments, the phone’s AI Night Flare Portrait feature, an OPPO-exclusive feature, combines the bokeh effect and lowlight-HDR algorithms to capture artistic photos that adds beautiful night flares on portrait photos shot against the backdrop of artificial lighting.
The AI Super Night Portrait makes sure that low-light, evening selfies are captured in a brightened and clear shot. Ultra-Steady Video enables users to capture clearer and sharper videos while in motion.
Internal capacity
OPPO A93 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P95 AI processor and has 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage capacity, which is expandable to 512GB via an external memory card. The phone has a 4000mAh battery.
