Elon Musk has acquired a 9.2% stake in Twitter Inc. worth $2.89 billion according to a regulatory filing.
Musk becomes the platform’s biggest shareholder, a week after he criticized the Social Media platform as to whether it adheres to free speech principles.

The move has since seen shares for the giant social network triggering a 26% rise.
Jack Dorsey stepped down as CEO and chairman in November 2021, but he continues to own a 2.25% stake in the company which makes him the sixth biggest shareholder.
