How PesaLink - money transfer platform works

PesaLink is the cheapest way to send money quickly, conveniently and cost-effectively, the platform allows customers to send money instantly from their account to any other account held in any Bank in Kenya.

The service is available to customers through a Bank’s Mobile banking app, Internet Banking ATM, agency or at any of their Bank branches countrywide.

The service allows users to directly send or receive as little as Ksh. 10 upto Ksh. 999,999 at an extremely low cost with charges of KES 0 to KES 200, depending on the amount you transfer.

How to connect PesaLink on your Phone

  1. Using your preferred Bank channel (Mobile, USSD, Mobile App, ATM, internet, agent or branch), select “Pesalink” from the menu
  2. Select “Link Your Phone” on the Pesalink menu option
  3. Select the “Account Number” you want to link from your list of accounts
  4. Select “Yes/ No” to designate your main account for payments
  5. Confirm the details displayed on the page which you selected in steps 3 and 4
  6. You will receive an SMS confirmation notification from Pesalink

How to Send via PesaLink

  1. Select Pesalink on your Bank’s menu
  2. Select “Send To Phone” on the Pesalink menu option
  3. Enter the Recipients “Phone Number”
  4. Select Bank Name from the list of bank names
  5. Enter amount to pay
  6. Enter reason for payment
  7. Confirm the details displayed on the page, which you entered in steps 3 and 4. The recipient’s name will also be displayed
  8. You will receive an SMS confirmation notification from Pesalink indicating the name of the recipient, amount sent and bank name

How to Send funds to Account via PesaLink

  1. Select Pesalink on your Bank’s menu
  2. Select “Send To Account” on the Pesalink menu option
  3. Enter the Recipients “Account Number”
  4. Select the first letter of the Bank Name from the provided list
  5. Select the Bank Name from the list
  6. Enter amount to pay
  7. Enter reason for payment
  8. Confirm the details displayed on the page, which you entered in steps 3 and 4.
  9. You will receive an SMS confirmation notification from the bank indicating the recipient’s account number, bank name, amount sent and reason for payment
