It is pretty easy to buy Kenya Power (KPLC) tokens with MPesa using the Paybill number 888880 to top up your electricity units.
- Go to M-Pesa menu, select “Lipa na M-Pesa”
- Select “Paybill”
- Select “Enter business no.” and enter the KPLC prepaid Lipa na M-Pesa paybill number 888880 and press “OK”
- Select “Enter account no” your pre-paid meter number (11-digit) and press “OK”
- Enter any amount and press “OK”
- Enter M-Pesa PIN and press “OK”
- Confirm all the details are correct and press OK
- You will receive a confirmation SMS from MPESA immediately.
- KPLC will then generate a prepaid token for your meter and send it to you via SMS.
How To Okoa Stima
- On your mobile phone dial *885# using your Safaricom line
- Enter the PIN.
- Select prepaid option
- Pick “Okoa Stima.”
- Choose the ‘request emergency top-up’ option, then enter the Meter number.
- Select Okoa amounts ranging from Ksh 100 to Ksh 1000 and confirm.
