How to check your KPLC Bill

The Kenyan government has announced that it has reduced Power bill by 15 per cent.

The move is part of President Uhuru directive to cut down electricity tariffs down by 30 per cent as pledged back in October 2020.

In a statement released to newsrooms, The Ministry of energy has confirmed that the Kenya Gazette of 7th January has effected a 15 percent reduction in power tariffs.

“The reduction will boost livelihoods and economic growth by reducing the cost of living,” The ministry said in a statement.

The government has also confirmed that the remaining 15 percent reduction rate will take effect before March.

“We are working hard at ensuring the next 15 percent trance is effected in this quarter as promised,” The statement read in part.
