Safaricom, Kenya’s leading telecommunications company, has appointed Anthony Gacanja as its new Director for Networks.
His role will entail overseeing the design, build, rollout, performance, and improvement of all network infrastructure and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to customers.
Gacanja will also manage the delivery of ongoing information system services and the implementation of new systems.
With over twenty years’ experience in IT Governance and Operations, Cyber Security, Information Risk Assurance, and Software Development, Gacanja is expected to bring valuable expertise to the position.
Previously, Gacanja worked as the Director of Information Technology for the Central Bank of Kenya, where he was responsible for delivering the IT strategy and providing strategic IT leadership.
