Twitter suspends Donald Trump's Account over incitement

US President Donald Trump has been permanently suspended from Twitter on Friday which the company said is due to the risk of further incitement of violence.

The Twitter account with 88.7 million followers deprives Trump the tool he has used to communicate directly with the American people for more than a decade.

President Donald Trump faces mounting calls to step down or risk impeachment saying the US leader is too dangerous to use the platform.

The suspension follows a video that Trump posted that allegedly repeated false claims about election fraud and praised the rioters who stormed the Capitol.

Facebook also said earlier this week that it was suspending Trump’s account. He is due to hand over to President-elect Joe Biden on Jan. 20.
