WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to edit messages that have already been sent. This feature enables users to make changes to their sent messages up to 15 minutes after sending them, giving them the flexibility to correct mistakes or modify their messages as needed.

According to a statement by Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta users now have more power over their chats on WhatsApp.

You can now correct spelling mistakes or add more details to a message.

How To Edit Sent WhatsApp Messages

To do this;

  • Tap and hold the message for 15 minutes after sending it.
  • Select the ‘Edit’ option from the menu.
  • Edit your Whatsapp message and sent it.

Previously, users had to delete messages or send new messages to make corrections. The feature is currently being rolled out to users and will be available to everyone soon.

Other messaging platforms like Telegram and Signal have already offered editing features, and Twitter has allowed premium users access to the edit button.
