Popular messaging app WhatsApp appears to have stopped working, with users unable to send some messages via audio and image.
Instead, users are subjected to a “download failed” without loading the content. The same error message requires users to ask for the picture to be sent over again.
Complaints particularly came from across the Globe especially Africa, according to the outage tracking website Down Detector.
The Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 1,500 reports from users at one time insisting the app is not working properly.
